Many of our customers have been calling concerned about the
Conflicker virus/worm that is being reported on several news
stations.
Our current understanding of the virus/worm is that if your PC
has all of the latest updates from Microsoft Windows Update, and an
up-to-date Anti Virus client, you should be protected from the worm.
One simple test to see if you have the virus is to attempt to
connect to
http://www.microsoft.com, if the site shows up and looks
correct, then you most likely do not have the virus, as this site is
one of the sites that the virus prevents you from accessing.
PCS recommends AVG Anti-Virus for protection from the latest
threats. We are an authorized reseller and customers can
purchase this at our office.
